The Brooks Bandits took a one-game lead over West Kelowna Tuesday night, coming from behind to defeat the Warriors 5-4 in overtime.
Parker Lalonde scored in the third period to erase a 4-3 deficit after the Warriors took the lead on a goal from Elias Callgren and then Nick Peluso won it 4:49 into overtime when he took a Lalonde pass from behind the net and converted it into a game-winning goal.
The win put the Bandits up 2-1 after they tied it up with an 8-2 win in Game 2.
The Bandits got off to a quick start, jumping out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Keith McInnis and Luke Bibby, before Kelowna got one back from Tyler Pretty to cut the Bandit lead to 2-1 after one period.
