Radisson Heights shooting sends man to hospital

Calgary police say one person was injured in a Saturday morning shooting in the community of Radisson Heights

Police were called to the 0-100 block of Radcliffe Crescent S.E. at 2:10 a.m. for reports of gunfire.

Officers arrived to find one man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

Police believe the victim had confronted a group of people who were attempting to break into his parked vehicle.

One of the suspects allegedly pointed a firearm at the man and shot him before fleeing in a blue sedan.

Police located the sedan empty nearby.

No suspects are in custody.
