An investigation is underway following a string of break-and-enters into multiple businesses that took place between April 6 and 9.

The RCMP’s Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SADCRU) is looking for the suspects in a string of break-ins that targeted convenience stores, gas stations, cannabis stores, sporting goods stores, liquor stores and grocery stores.

SADCRU said in a release that it’s making property and business owners aware of the crime spree so that they can take extra precautions, such as storing cash off site, and ensuring that security systems are fully operational and activated.

Most recently, at approximately 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at Bassano Family Pools, the front door glass was smashed allowing three suspects to enter.

They later left driving a white Ford F350 or Chevrolet 3500 flat deck truck with a wooden box.

The first suspect is described as having an average build, face covered, wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants and a white belt.

The second has a thin build, face covered, wearing a light-coloured hoodie with black-coloured shoulders.

The third has a thin build, face covered with a red bandana, dark blue jacket, and black track pants.

Police believe most of the break-ins involve the suspects targeting cash, cigarettes and lottery scratch tickets.

A variety of vehicles have been used for the various break-and-enters. Police encourage residents to report any suspicious vehicles or activity.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their local police. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online or by downloading the P3 Tips app.
