Calgary’s Rogers Charity Classic made a major announcement Friday, revealing that the 2025 lineup will include a quartet of major champions in addition to a returning favourite.

Masters champion Mike Weir (2003) will be joined at the event by British Open champion Darren Clark (2011), three-time major winner Vijay Singh (2000 Masters, 1998 and 2004 PGA) and PGA champ David Toms (2001).

“Each one of these exceptional ball strikers, who have all shown they can deliver on the biggest stage, are great additions to what is shaping up to be another strong field,” said Rogers Charity Classic executive director Sean Van Kesteren.

“These four continue to be amongst the best players each year on the PGA TOUR Champions. They have shown they are still very competitive, and I know they will be ready to duel it out in Calgary.”

The tournament takes place Aug. 11-17 at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club.

Darren Clarke has been playing Calgary since turning 50 in 2018 after a wildly successful career on the European Tour, where he won 14 times, in addition to winning three times on the PGA tour and competing five times for the European team at the Ryder Cup.

“I absolutely can’t wait to get back to the Rogers Charity Classic,” said Clarke. “It is probably the best atmosphere we have on tour, incredible crowds, a fantastic golf course and great people.

“And for sure we have always even found one or two great bars as well.”
