Roughnecks clinch NLL playoff spot with 11-5 win over Mammoth

The Roughnecks rolled to an 11-5 win over the Colorado Mammoth Saturday night in Calgary, clinching a playoff spot on the final night of the regular season.

The win completed a weekend sweep for the Roughnecks, who also defeated the Las Vegas Desert Dogs Friday, winning 12-9.

Curtis Dickson led the way Saturday night, racking up four goals and three assists, to finish the regular season with 108 points, most on the team.

Haiden Dickson added two, and Tyler Pace, Justin Inacio and Tanner Cook added singles for the Roughnecks in front of 15, 203 fans celebrating Tiki Night at the Saddledome.

Jesse King added a pair of assists to his stellar Friday night, where he racked up a hat trick and seven assists to go with Tanner Cook’s hat trick in leading the Riggers past the Desert Dogs.

King finished the season with 105 points, second-most on the club.

Next up: Halifax

The Roughnecks are sixth in the standings. Their round one matchup is Halifax, who they will face next Saturday.
