Tourism Lethbridge is reflecting on a positive year of growth in the region.
The organization saw a boost in travellers to the city in 2024, which brought a 5.5 per cent increase in visitor spending compared to the year before.
More than 400,000 people attended nearly 650 events, with about 175,000 of those people being from out of town.
Lethbridge held a 61 per cent hotel occupancy rate last year, up from 57 per cent in 2019.
And almost 40,000 passengers arrived or departed from YQL last year.
“We saw some events—new events to the city—come in, and some previous events that got expanded, which is always great to see,” said Erin Crane, Tourism Lethbridge CEO.
“And, you know, that’s one of the things we really lean on: those in our community who are putting on these events—volunteering to make those events happen.”

Tourism Lethbridge has also launched its 2025 action plan, with a focus on innovation, experience development and long-term sustainability.
