Two injured in single-vehicle, rollover crash along Deerfoot Trail

At least one person has been rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition following a vehicle collision in south Calgary.

Police say a single vehicle rolled on southbound Deerfoot Trail at Seton Boulevard S.E. shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday.

EMS and Calgary Fire Department confirm their crews were called around 2:40 p.m.

It was also confirmed the vehicle that rolled on the major city artery was a minivan with two adults inside.

At least one of the adults is considered to be in life-threatening condition.

The other also suffered serious injuries, but their condition is not confirmed.

Southbound Deerfoot Trail was shut down from Seton Boulevard S.E. to 212 Avenue S.E. in the aftermath of the crash.

Police advised motorists to avoid the area.

At 9 p.m. on Friday, police advised all southbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail had been reopened.
