Calgary police are hoping to identify a woman who allegedly assaulted a stranger at a Downtown East Village bank.
Police say the victim was inside the Scotiabank in the 500 block of Fourth Street S.E. on Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, when she was punched in the side of her head.
The assault, which happened around 3 p.m., was unprovoked, according to police.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
The suspect ran off and security guards were unable to locate her.
Police describe the suspect as in her early 30s and approximately 5’ tall (152 centimetres) with a medium build and blond hair.

At the time, she was wearing black shorts, a black top, black shoes and carrying a black bag.
