$1.1M in damages caused by Wyndham Crossing Apartments fire

Two residents of an apartment complex recounted their escape after waking up to find the building was on fire. CTV News Edmonton's Evan Kenny reports.

A fire at a northeast apartment complex caused $1.1 million in damages, authorities say.

The cause of the blaze at Wyndham Crossing Apartments on April 20 has not yet been determined, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said in an update Monday.

Two hundred people live in the building.

One person was hospitalized with burns, while a firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.

Wyndham Crossing Apartments was the scene of another fire last year.
