Emergency crews were called to a remote area in Crow Lake Provincial Park on Saturday.
Police said two men were found dead inside an ice fishing tent.
Although the investigation is still in the early stages, police believe the men died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a heat source being used inside the tent.
Their names have not been released but police said the victims are a 45-year-old from Fort McMurray and a 37-year-old from Labrador City, N.L.
Crow Lake Provincial Park is located near Wandering River, approximately 270 kilometres north of Edmonton.
