Set menus will be priced from $15 to $65 and will be available for all meals during business hours.
The 11-day event gives patrons the opportunity to support local businesses while giving their wallet a well-deserved break.
Puneeta McBryan, the CEO of the Edmonton Downtown Business Association, said in a Tuesday release the event benefits all Edmontonians, from customers to restaurant owners.
“Downtown Dining Week is an annual invitation to sample some of the best menu items at these restaurants and with some great deals,” McBryan said.
“(It) is more than just a celebration of great food – it helps restaurants get through the quieter months. When diners show up in droves to support restaurants during this time of year, they are helping to keep the city’s culinary scene surviving year-round,” she added.
According to the City of Edmonton’s Business Consensus, the downtown core saw a net increase of 21 new “food service businesses” in 2024, with 14 restaurants joining Downtown Dining Week for the first time this year.
Christian Mena, owner of Sabor, said the event helps bring in new customers to explore Edmonton’s most sought-out restaurants.
“We are growing and expanding to new locations on Whyte Ave, in Calgary and in the Union Bank Building, but we’ve been at the 103 Street location for over 15 years. Our roots are downtown and Downtown Dining Week has brought new guests and created new regulars throughout the years,” Mena said.
People looking to reserve a table at one of the participating restaurants should contact the establishment directly.
Downtown Dining Week runs from March 12 to 23.
