RCMP have charged a man in connection with the targeted killing of a woman in Red Deer, but they believe he may have fled the country.
The woman was found dead in an apartment on 30 Street on March 10. Her death was believed to have been a targeted attack and the RCMP major crimes unit took over the investigation.
On Friday, Mounties identified her as 23-year-old Mandeep Kuar. No cause of death was released.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Gurpreet Singh, who has been charged with second-degree murder.
Officers believe Singh has left the country, but efforts to locate him are ongoing.
