The City of Edmonton has issued more than 700 parking tickets over the first few days of street sweeping.

From April 14-17, the city handed out 702 tickets – each worth $250 – to vehicles that violated parking bans.

The city says parking ban signs were placed in each neighbourhood two days before sweeping began.

Edmonton residents can sign up for parking ban alerts or view the street sweeping map on the city’s website.
