Compost made from Edmonton’s yard waste collection days is once again available to the city’s gardeners.
The compost, which has been lab tested and is weedless, can be picked up for free at the Ambleside and Kennedale Eco Stations as of Tuesday.
Edmontonians must bring their own tools, protective equipment and containers.
Compost, whether made at home from food scraps or by the city, adds nutrients and microbes to soil.
More information about Edmonton’s compost program is available online.
