Two clinics in east Edmonton that were forced to shut down a month ago reopened on Tuesday.
East Edmonton Health Centre’s Urgent Care Clinic and Family Care Clinic closed on March 21 after a water leak.
With renovations and cleaning complete, the clinics are returning to regular operations, Alberta Health Services said.
The family care clinic reopened at 8:30 a.m. and the urgent care clinic will open its doors at 5 p.m.
Family care clinic patients will be contacted about scheduled appointments.
“Alberta Health Services (AHS) recognizes extended closures can be stressful for patients seeking care, and thanks the community for its patience as we completed this unplanned and necessary work,” AHS said in a release.
