A man is dead after a crash on icy roads northeast of Edmonton.
At 8:38 a.m., RCMP said Township Road 640 had been closed due to a crash between a pickup truck and a semi near Range Road 462 north of La Corey, near Bonnyville.
Mounties said a 25-year-old man from Edmonton was killed in the crash, which they believe was caused by icy roads and freezing rain.
No other details have been given about the crash or the condition of the other driver.
Township Road 640 was reopened before 1 p.m.
La Corey is about 205 kilometres northeast of Edmonton and about 20 kilometres north of Bonnyville.
