Snow continues to fall in western and northwestern Alberta, with snowfall warnings in effect for areas from Grande Cache southeast to Kananaskis and areas north and northwest of Calgary.
Localized pockets of 10-20 cm of accumulation are expected in that area by late tonight.
Outside of that warning area, we’ll also likely see some wet snow in areas like Grande Prairie, Whitecourt and around Red Deer (no significant accumulation expected in those areas though).
For the Edmonton region, increasing cloud this morning and a chance of a few scattered showers in the area this afternoon. There’s a slight risk of some mixed precip or wet flurries this evening. But, we’re not expecting any significant amounts of moisture/precipitation.
Temperatures will get to 11 or 12 C for a high this afternoon. We hit highs of 14 C Saturday and 12 C Sunday in the city this past weekend.
The average high for April 21-25 is 13 C. We’ll be pretty close to that early this week, and then temperatures jump to highs near 20 for Friday/Saturday.
