Spring is (officially) just around the corner and we have some warmer air pushing in.
Temperatures should climb to within 2 or 3 C of zero this afternoon.
Tuesday should jump a degree or two above zero in the afternoon.
After that - we’re looking at a long stretch of days with afternoon highs in the 3 to 8 degree range. The next few mornings will be crisp, but we’ll have morning lows just slightly below zero by the weekend.
There IS some more snow in the forecast (although, nothing heavy).
We have some flurries pushing across parts of northern Alberta this morning. There’s a slight chance of a few flurries in the Edmonton region later this morning/midday.
The best chance for some flurries/light snow in the Edmonton area comes through the evening hours.
Then...after tonight, it doesn’t look like we have much of a snow risk through the rest of the week.
So, Thursday’s the Spring Equinox and the “Spring-y” weather we had for about three weeks in late February/early March is coming back and looks to be sticking around through at least the end of the month.
Here’s the forecast for Edmonton and area:
Today - Mix of sun & cloud. 30% chance of flurries.
