One person is dead after a crash in central Alberta on Tuesday.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 20 between Highway 12 and Township Road 402 near Bentley at 7:48 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash.
Both drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 29-year-old passenger from Red Deer was taken to hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital.
Preliminary investigation suggests that poor road conditions were a contributing factor, RCMP says.
The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
