One person is in hospital after a hit-and-run in Lloydminster earlier this week.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 17 north of 52 Street in the border city at 4:13 a.m. on Tuesday.

The victim of the hit-and-run was taken to hospital, where they remain in critical but stable condition.

Police believe the victim was on foot because there was only evidence of one vehicle at the scene.

On Wednesday the vehicle involved in the crash was located and police determined that it had been stolen before the crash.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
