Horses uninjured after trailer winds up in ditch on Anthony Henday Drive

Three horses escaped mostly unscathed after their trailer went off the road in Edmonton last week.

Emergency crews were called to 130 Avenue and Anthony Henday Drive northbound at 4:49 p.m. on Thursday.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services says the trailer had become detached from the vehicle towing it and rolled off the freeway into the bottom of the east ditch.

One of the three horses inside suffered a minor cut, the other two were uninjured.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.
