Locker room thefts suspect sought by Edmonton police

Edmonton police are looking for a man believed to be a suspect in a series of locker room thefts at fitness centres across the city.

The suspect reportedly breaks into lockers, steals credit and banking cards and purchases thousands of dollars of lottery tickets and merchandise, said police in a news release.

The suspect is described as a white man with a short, scruffy beard. He has been seen wearing a medical mask, a black baseball cap or dark-coloured toque, a black jacket with a large silver zipper, dark jeans and black shoes with white soles. The man often has an earbud in his left ear.

Police say the same man has been linked to at least six thefts since May.
