Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in northern Alberta.
Boyle RCMP was called to Range Road 173 and Township Road 712 at 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 26.
The deceased was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, who determined the death is a homicide.
Police are not releasing the victim’s identity, but believe the male was in Fort McMurray on the same day as his remains were found.
Investigators are conducting an extensive video surveillance canvassing in the Lakewood and Eagle Ridge areas.
Anyone with footage from Fort McMurray from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. is asked to contact Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4000.
