It’s getting to be a big event for the small centrepieces at the Edmonton Miniature Dollhouse Show and Sale. The show is run by the Miniature Enthusiasts of Edmonton, which will celebrate its 45th anniversary next year. The event will feature more than 25 vendors and displays. “When COVID hit, there were a lot of people looking for something to do in their home to keep themselves busy, and I think it just kind of exploded from there,” said Lisa Thompson-Dobo with Miniature Enthusiasts of Edmonton. “The nice thing about doing miniatures is you can use any medium, anything from porcelain to pipe cleaners to you name it. There’s so many miniature kits available on the market nowadays.” Thompson-Dobo demonstrated that by showing CTV Your Morning Edmonton’s Kim Wynn how to make a teddy bear with a pipe cleaner. The show is happening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Central Lion’s Seniors Rec Centre. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for people ages seven to 15 and free for those under seven.
