Occasional showers/thunderstorms and average temperatures through the weekend

A little unsettled today and Saturday, lots of sun on Sunday

Thunderstorms rolling through the Edmonton area early this morning will move out by mid-morning.

But, we could see another round of showers/thunderstorms late this afternoon.

Between those two windows - partly cloudy skies in the city for midday and early this afternoon with temperatures hitting the low to mid 20s.

The greatest risk for severe thunderstorms today will be in east-central Alberta this evening.

The weekend outlook for the Edmonton region remains unsettled. It won’t be “all day rain” either day. But, both days have a chance of some scattered showers/thunderstorms.

The best chance looks to be early Saturday morning and then again in the evening Saturday. So, possibly a repeat of Friday’s conditions.

Timing is highly uncertain for any precip that might hit the city Sunday.

An Upper Ridge builds in for Mon/Tue and that’ll bring a couple of sunny and hot days.

However, we’re back to a risk of late-day thunderstorms Wednesday and the chance of showers or rain for Thursday.
