Person of interest sought in 2023 Whyte Avenue homicide

Edmonton police have released images of a person who may have information about a homicide that occurred in the area of 101 Street and Whyte Avenue more than two years ago.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Aug. 19, 2023, police responded to a weapons complaint in the area. Upon arrival, officers located a man and woman with serious injuries.

EMS treated and took the 33-year-old woman to hospital in stable condition. The 32-year-old man, identified as Alister Chrisholm, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy determined that Chrisholm died of a gunshot wound.

Investigators have since recovered a Green VW Beetle in connection to the homicide. They are now looking to identify a woman who was seen arriving in the Beetle at a Husky gas station at 92 Street and Jasper Avenue at 10:26 a.m. the same day Chrisholm died.
