Edmonton police are searching for a thief that weaponized bear spray against a gas bar worker three months ago.

Investigators on Friday released images of the suspect, who walked into a gas bar at 118 Street and Kingsway at 6:51 p.m. on Nov. 13 wearing a white mask and demanded cigarettes.

He deployed the spray during an “altercation” with the employee then ran west away from the scene.

Police believe he lives in the area.

He is between 5′5″ and 5′7″ tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Edmonton Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
