Drivers are urged to use caution as winter conditions return to Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Parkland RCMP said emergency crews were called to a multi-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 16 near the Century Road intersection.
The crash involved a semi truck, but no further information was released by police.
Drivers should expect traffic slowdowns in the area.
“Slow down and take your time,” RCMP Const. Brody Dyson said Thursday. “Don’t put yourself in any kind of undue risk just to try and get yourself where you’re trying to go, fast.”
A tow-ban was also put in effect on QEII from the city limits of Edmonton to Highway 611.
Leduc RCMP says the ban is due to road conditions in the area.
