Edmonton golfers ready to shake off the winter rust will soon have a few more courses to tee off at.
The City of Edmonton is welcoming golfers at two of its three courses before the weekend.
Victoria Driving Range will open Thursday at 9 a.m., and Rundle Golf Course will open Friday at 7 a.m.
The third municipal golf course, Riverside, and the Victoria Golf Course are expected to announce their opening dates soon.
Golfers can access in-person services and purchase passes at all City of Edmonton Pro Shops right now Monday to Friday during operating hours. Tee times and golf lessons for youth and adults can be booked online.
CTV News Edmonton recently spoke to golfers enjoying the spring weather at the Mill Woods Golf Course, which saw a long queue of golfers waiting to take a swing on its driving range when it opened this past Saturday.
Todd Paquette, Mill Woods course superintendent, said he was hopeful golfers could begin booking tee times for next Monday but was also “hopeful for earlier than that” depending on how the weather shapes up for the rest of the week.
The forecast is expected to hit double digits for the next few days with plenty of sun on Thursday. There are clouds expected on the weekend, but there is a low chance of rain.
