A St. Albert man is dead following a Friday morning shooting in Morinville.
Shayne Fry, 37, died at the scene of a shooting in the town 30 kilometres north of Edmonton after officers answered a call of a shooting the Morinville Estates Manufactured Home Community at 4:30 a.m., RCMP said in a Sunday media release.
They said the shooting was likely targeted and that they don’t believe residents there are at risk.
Fry had a lengthy criminal history, court records show, including an eight-year sentence for manslaughter.
The Alberta RCMP major crimes unit continues to investigate.
