A man found hurt in southeast Edmonton on Sunday was shot to death, police say.
The 52-year-old man was found at around 10 p.m. by officers responding to reports of gunshots near 66 Street and 38 Avenue.
He died on scene. An autopsy Tuesday found he was shot to death and his death was ruled a homicide.
Police said a blue 2016 Honda Pilot was seen near 23 Avenue and 66 Street just before 10 p.m. and was later seen heading west on 38 Avenue after the shooting.
Anyone who saw the shooting, or who has dash camera or security footage of the area between 9 and 11 p.m. on Sunday, is asked to contact police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a cell phone.
“We know there were a significant number of pedestrians and vehicular traffic in the area at the time of the shooting,” said Staff Sgt. Colin Leathem. “We would really like to speak with anyone who was present as they may have important information.”
