Things to do in Edmonton this weekend

Remembrance Day is Tuesday, and some groups are hosting commemorations this weekend. CTV News Edmonton has compiled a full list of events below. Worth noting is Indigenous Veterans Day, which is marked on Nov. 8.

From agriculture to pop music to hockey, here are some of the events happening in Edmonton this weekend.

Farmfair International 2025 began at the Edmonton Expo Centre on Wednesday and runs until Saturday. Among other agriculture and beef industry-related activities, the event will host a Farmfair Country Christmas Marketplace.

The market is free to attend and offers local vendors with handmade gifts, seasonal treats, western-inspired crafts and other holiday finds.

Country singer Brad Paisley drops by Edmonton’s Rogers Place on Friday at 7:30 p.m. for his Truck Still Works tour. For those looking to don their cowboy boots and flannel, tickets begin at $70 and are available online.

YIKES! Film Festival is also in town at Creative Hive on 111 Avenue. The three-day celebration of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, thriller and mystery began Thursday and runs until Saturday. Tickets to the more than 30 international films, a spooky vendor hall, live music, drinks and more start at $27 and are available online.

Pop music fans, never despair: the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra is performing Pop Icons: From Prince to Whitney at the Winspear Centre Friday and Saturday night.

The Edmonton Oilers host the Colorado Avalanche at Rogers Place on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online.
