Vermilion RCMP arrest man accused of luring a child through sexual text messages

Vermilion RCMP have arrested and charged a 40-year-old man with luring a child.

Police say they received a report of a person who was sending sexual text messages to a person under the age of 18 on Saturday.

Patrick John Kelly appeared in court and was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Lloydminster on Tuesday.

Since the victim is under 18, police will not be sharing any further details on the child.
