Josh Classen recaps the week in wild weather, including tornadoes and flooding in the U.S.

Here’s a look at some of the weather stories making headlines this past week:

A once-in-a-generation weather event battered parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Several days of severe storms produced numerous tornadoes and flooding from heavy rain.

At least four people are confirmed dead in Tennessee.

Tens of thousands of people lost power and there’s widespread damage to homes and buildings.

Those severe storms have also led to historic flooding along the Ohio River.

Days and days of heavy rain left parts of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and downtown Madison, Indiana under water.

Officials in Louisville, Kentucky say it’s one of the 10 worst floods in the city’s history and is responsible for at least five deaths.

And devastating flooding in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Heavy rain caused the Ndjili River to overflow, leaving a path of destruction through neighbourhoods and killing almost three dozen people.
