Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is rallying the community to show there is a demand for a direct flight to London, U.K.

The airport created a website for travellers to add their names to the cause and will hold an event at Rogers Place’s Ford Hall Saturday night.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be a towering Big Ben, a British Royal Guard and a London-style photo booth.

Edmonton hasn’t had a direct flight to London for a number of years.

The airport currently has a direct flight to Amsterdam.
