A 10-year-old girl who had been rollerblading in Wellesley Township has died after she was hit by a driver. Emergency responders were called to a collision involving the girl and a van on Ament Line near Road 116 on July 16 around 7:50 p.m. The girl was taken to hospital with life-threatening injures. On Monday, the Waterloo Regional Police Service announced she had died from her injuries. The driver of the van, a 71-year-old Huron County man, was not hurt. The investigation continues.
