The Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a serious pedestrian collision in Wellesley Township that led to a 10-year-old girl wearing rollerblades to be taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries. Investigators said the incident happened Thursday around 7:50 p.m. on Ament Line, near Road 116, and involved a Chevrolet van. The driver, a 71-year-old man from Huron County, was not injured in the collision. The road was closed for several hours, but has reopened. The investigation remains ongoing.
