Matt Turek is no longer the general manager for the Brantford Bulldogs.
In a news release on Friday, the team announced it was unable to come to terms with Turek on a contract extension.
He has left the team, effective immediately.
Turek has been with the Bulldogs since their inaugural 2015/2016 season. He was promoted to general manager for the 2022/2023 season.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication Matt has shown in his time in Brantford & Hamilton, the team is set for a very bright future ahead. The Bulldogs extend their sincere appreciation for what he has accomplished. We wish him nothing but the greatest of success in his next steps,” the release reads.
This season, the Brantford Bulldogs’ playoff run ended with a 4-1 Game 6 loss to the Oshawa Generals on April 20.
