A tip from an American organization has led to the arrest of a Brantford man.

The U.S.-based National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children reached out to the Brantford Police Service earlier this year with a tip regarding potential child exploitation.

Brantford Police officers executed two search warrants at separate addresses in Brantford on March 31 and April 2. They seized multiple computers, cellphones and electronic devices and found evidence of child pornography.

On Wednesday, a 55-year-old Brantford man was arrested. He has been charged with accessing child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Police believe they will be making more arrests and laying more charges as the investigation continues.
