Brantford’s Winter Fun Fest rescheduled due to expected bad weather

Anyone planning to go the Brantford’s Winter Fun Fest this weekend will need to make new plans.

In a news release on Friday afternoon, the city said they made a joint decision with vendors and other partner organizations to reschedule the event due to heavy snow and strong winds in the weather forecast.

Winter Fun Fest was supposed to take place at Harmony Square on Dalhousie Street on Sunday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., featuring carousel rides, a skate party, food and a fireworks display.

Wilfrid Laurier University was also scheduled to host a Purple and Gold party at One Market from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday to celebrate the school’s 25th anniversary in Brantford. It has also been rescheduled.

Both events will now be held on Saturday, March 22.
