Waterloo Regional Police have charged a woman after they say she was driving 117 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Clyde Road in Cambridge on Friday. A 51-year-old Cambridge woman is facing multiple charges, including stunt driving and careless driving. The driver will also have her vehicle impounded for 14 days and faces a 30-day licence suspension. Police said the incident happened not far from where officers responded to a fatal collision earlier this week where speed was a factor. “Please slow down and obey the posted speed limits. They are not suggestions — they are the law,” police said in a social media post.
