Canada-wide warrant issued for man with ties to Kitchener

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for federal offender known to spend time in Kitchener.

Evan Haney, 29, is currently serving a sentence of two years and three months on a long list of charges: break and enter, disguise with intent, theft under $5,000, assault with a weapon, disobeying a court order, break and enter with intent, identify fraud with intent to gain advantage, break and enter with intent to commit an offence, and fraud under $5,000.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad said he breached the conditions of his statutory release.

A Canada-wide warrant was also issued for Haney in December.

He is described as an Indigenous male, 5’10” (178 cm) and 190 lbs. (86 kgs). Haney has a fair complexion, brown hair and hazel eyes. He is also known to wear brown-rimmed glasses and has a number of tattoos on his body, including:

• “519” on his throat
• Toronto Maple Leafs logo on his left side of his neck
• A basketball on the right side of his neck
• “fuck you” written on his right wrist
• A money bag on his left middle finger
• A heart, “?” and “F” on his right index finder
• “X O E” on his left finger
• “D X”, “S”, “L”, “E” and # on his right fingers
• “MOA $” on his left hand
• A smoking clown on his left forearm
• “MOM”, “1996” and “2008” on his right elbow
• “K”, “H”, a flower and ribbon on his right forearm

The R.O.P.E. squad said Haney is known to frequent Kitchener and the Midland area.
