Construction is underway at the intersection of Trussler Road and Bleams Road for Waterloo Region’s newest roundabout.

Southbound traffic is closed on Trussler Road between Ottawa Street South and Bleams Road while crews work on the east side of the roundabout. Northbound traffic between Huron Road and Highway 7/8 will be maintained.

The Region of Waterloo is asking drivers to follow the signage in the area and use the following detour:

Ottawa Street S. to Fischer-Hallman Road to Huron Road.

“There may be periods during construction when traffic will need to travel on a gravel surface, as well as times when traffic will need to be controlled with flag persons,” read an online update from the region.

They also said emergency services have been notified of the construction, closures and detours to minimize any disruptions.

Construction of the roundabout is expected to be completed by October 2025.
