Waterloo driver dead after a three-vehicle crash north of Guelph

Two pickup trucks and a sedan were involved in a collision that left one driver dead. CTV’s Krista Simpson has the details.

A 28-year-old man from Waterloo has died after a three-vehicle crash north of Guelph on Friday morning.

First responders were called to Wellington County Road 51 near Ariss, Ont. around 6:45 a.m. for a three-vehicle collision. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said two pick-up trucks and a sedan were involved and the driver of one of the trucks was pronounced dead at the crash site. OPP said the other two drivers were not hurt.

A black sedan and a white pick-up truck could be seen in a ditch on-scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

No word on if any charges are expected.
