A driver from Acton is facing more than a dozen charges after Ontario Provincial Police stopped them twice in Puslinch Township.
Officers stopped the driver on Highway 401 on Monday around 11 a.m.
The 19-year-old driver was charged with operating a commercial motor vehicle with an unsecured load, failure to surrender a completed daily inspection report, failure to display an inspection sticker and operating a commercial motor vehicle with a defective braking system.
The driver was issued warnings about improper tires on a drawn vehicle and driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect.
Police told the driver not to continue moving the trailer due to safety concerns.
However, officers later saw the same trailer being driven on Townline Road in Puslinch Township.
The driver was further charged with driving a commercial motor vehicle contrary to prohibition, pulling a drawn trailer without a plate, failure to display an inspection sticker, operating a commercial motor vehicle with an unsecured load, improper tires on a drawn vehicle, improper brakes on a trailer, failure to enter a defect in a daily inspection report, failure to surrender an inspection schedule, failure to surrender a completed daily inspection report and driving a commercial vehicle with a major defect.
