Ontario Provincial Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a group of people believed to be responsible for stealing eight vehicles from a property located just south of Brantford.
At around 8:15 a.m. Monday, OPP were called to Concession 3 Townsend in Wilsonville.
Officers determined that, between 1:40 a.m. and 4:10 a.m., a group of three to four people visited the property multiple times and stole a total of eight pickup trucks.
“Two of the stolen vehicles were later found on Concession 3 Townsend and Cockshutt Road in Norfolk County, both extensively damaged and deemed beyond repair,” an OPP spokesperson said in a media release. “The remaining six vehicles were recovered from locations in Brant County and Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation.”
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with relevant information to contact the Norfolk County OPP Preventing Auto Theft Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
