The Waterloo Regional Police Service has launched a criminal harassment investigation after a female youth said an unknown man has been trying to interact with her for a month.

On April 4, the girl told officers the man had been trying to talk to her in the Ottawa Street North and Heritage Road area. She said their interactions typically happened during the early morning hours.

She described the man as a Brown man between 25 and 30-years-old. He had an average build, short curly black hair, scruffy facial hair and a large nose. She said he wore a red and black jacket, skinny jeans, black shoes and a black backpack.

Anyone with more information is urged to contact police.
