Five men arrested in connection with theft at Kitchener business

Waterloo Regional Police said they have arrested five men following a theft Sunday at a business on Shirley Avenue in Kitchener.

Police received a report of an in-progress theft at a commercial property around 10 p.m. When officers arrived, several people were allegedly loading stolen property into a vehicle.

Four suspects were arrested at the scene, and a fifth was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

The five men, two 40-year-olds from Toronto, a 28-year-old from North York, a 26-year-old from Richmond Hill and a 36-year-old from Etobicoke, were charged with theft Over $5,000. The 26-year-old was also charged with disguise with intent.
