A flood warning has been issued for West Montrose as the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) keeps an eye on high water levels throughout the watershed.
According to the GRCA, 20 to 40 mm of rain fell over the weekend.
River flows are expected to reach Flood Warning Zone 1 in West Montrose by Monday evening.

The flood warning will stay in effect until Saturday.
When the GRCA issues a flood warning, it means flooding is already happening or is about to happen. Municipal flood coordinators for the Township of Woolwich have been encouraged to notify all affected property owners.
West Montrose is on a known floodplain. High water and flooding are fairly common occurrences for the community.
