A driver from Guelph is facing a list of charges, including impaired operation, following a traffic stop in Centre Wellington. An Ontario Provincial Police officer stopped the driver on Highway 6 near 4th line on Sunday around 1:15 a.m. They said the driver didn’t stop at a stop sign and was driving dangerously. The 22-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), operation while impaired by drugs or alcohol, dangerous operation of a vehicle, disobeying a stop sign, failure to surrender an insurance card and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
